Avatars
I know there has been a lot of request for larger signatures and that sort of thing on the site. I'm just wondering if our avatars could be larger. They really are quite small compared to other places I've been. And the space they're in isn't ever somewhat pressed to fit the image in. Just a little increase in size would be a positive. If not, it's really no loss. But it wouldn't be incredibly hard to change the X by Y dimension limitations.

I agree. I had to photoshop my avi a few times just to get the size requirement and then again to get the memory requirement. not fun

I requested the exact same thing on a different forum, but they just shot me down. I thought it was a good idea, to say the least.

Well this site already allows 50kb avatars which is actually quite large in taking up space. And sometimes larger avatars such as 140x140 actually go over that sometimes. Besides 100x100 is a standard size for any forum.

Not on any of the forums I've ever been to. lol They could easily be bigger and not effect the forum layout.

Hmm, I actually like the size of our avatars. Not too big, not too small. It's perfect really. And plus it'll require extra space on the site, which can be a downside. Hmm, I wonder if it affects the bandwidth? Anyway, add the signatures. Now those things take up A LOT of space, so increasing our avatar's sizes will take up more space than what's necessary.
Heh, avatars aren't the main thing in this forum anyway.

personally ive never had a problem with avatar sizes...so increasing the size wouldnt really bother me
it seems to have the perfect size limit already.

I think a bigger avatar size is a prefectly good idea. It took me a while to get my current one, and I couldn't use the one that went with my previous tag because it was too large. It shouldn't take up too much space on the server either, so it shouldn't slow everything down too much

Yeah... The avatar size doesn't bother me, and you can see that I have probably the smallest avatar right now. Doesn't bother me.
