Not by Darkblade, may I add. The rules were enforced by a very able team of staff, several of whom are still here. The rules are still enforced by them and there're simply additions to the team. If anything, the site has never been better.
Suddenly, Darkblade's one single follower arises once more.

I see where you're going with this. It's not happening. ;D

For not being a fan of sarcasm though, I can't help but notice how full of it your own post was... but then, you can do that without consequences huh?

Not a smart move.

Eh?
Anyway, I can see how the staff changing their names so often would be annoying, but that's their choice and I don't have a problem with it.
This 60 day rule is defunct, and likely was simply to save admin time anyway, not prevent confusion. This will likely soon be automated anyway.

It's already functional, is it not? xD I can change my name freely now in my profile. It's by far more conveniant, particularly in conjunction with the return of our previous usernames in our profile.
Thanks for this privilege, by the way. It'll save time, to say the least.

I was going to reply to this right away, but I was steaming when I saw this post of yours. First, please don't accuse me of overstepping my boundaries as admin. I'm not like that and you very well know it. Now that I'm calmed down, I will reply.

I'm sorry, but what? I'm proving? All I'm saying is that staff isn't giving up on themes just because you find them annoying. So you look forward to seeing how the future goes? What, do you think the forum is going to go downhill or something because we're not abiding to your every want?

And that wasn't Darkblade who enforced those rules either. That was a very very able and wonderful team of staff members. And even now, rules are still being enforced here. I'm sorry you don't like it, but we're not gonna stop having our fun themes just because you find it annoying. We find it exciting and enjoyable.

Lord Golbez is doing an amazing job technically, and I can't wait to see what other amazing things he can do when Decado takes that aspect off his hands and allows him to focus elsewhere.
|
Just as Riku said, I see where you're going with this. It's not going to happen. Please just stop. This is why I don't speak to you on MSN anymore...

Thank you for listening, anyways. It is a comfort to know we are heard.

I admit, I was very sarcastic in my post and you have my apologies. However, it was because I was annoyed and fed up with you making such a huge deal out of something so minor. Fact of the matter is is that we don't change names as much as you think. When we do themes, we normally stick with them for a week and then change back to who we were previously. I'm sorry if that's a problem for you, but I see nobody else kicking up such a fuss. But anyway, if that's your discreet, subtle way of accusing me of power abuse or as if I'm flaunting my power, it's really laughable. Please don't do that. Because if there is somebody who doesn't boast about their power, it is me and I'm not afraid to say that because it's true.

Just remember you are tiny and a friend of Peter Pan. You could also remember the fairy that starts the fireworks in the Disney places as well.

I feel since my name was mentioned here that i can post my opinion;
Anyone who knows my from my own forums will know i don't look kindly on admins in the position just for the tag, or the power.
Some people are being accused of that, or of things like that, in this thread, and i just want to make it clear that having been in their shoes elsewhere before, and having spoken to them, it's *NOT* the case.
I would hope everyone would lay off the staff a little bit, and appreciate the amount of time and effort they put into the place.
Of course everyone on staff, me included, appreciate it when a member puts in the effort to improve the forum, and i know that i personally would really appreciate it if members were to bear in mind that we are human, and sometimes when there are a lot of things going on, and a lot of decisions to be made, it's easy for us to overlook or miss the small things.
Obviously sometimes members, when they see this happening, can take it personally, but i haven't seen anything to suggest to me thats the case.
Sometimes if people push about the small things, it can make the staff feel under appreciated and under pressure - I would ask that if someone doesn't reply to your issue, or they maybe react to it in a stressed way, let it go, and bring it up a few days later when things are a bit calmer.
As i say, this is nothing more than a personal request from me, no more, no less

First, as I said, I don't have anything against themes...
I only put forth my opinion because I know for a fact that a few other members are slightly annoyed by it. It isn't just something I decided to mention for the heck of it... trust me, I know better. Those people though, either smarter then me or just not as forthcoming as myself, choose not to get involved. That is their choice.
I know as much as any staff member here how it feels to be anything from a mod to an admin, and I know how much work you do. I never meant to discredit that. I simply saw an opportunity to mention something, and took it.

I don't hate the themes, just the rate of the name changes. The point is mute now and the discussion over. I thank you again for hearing my opinion.
As for Darkblade, I know full well that he didn't enforce the rules with his own hand-at least not regularly. And he himself even disregarded his own rules sometimes. However, I do feel certain rules were pushed a bit differently then they are now. I still have certain infractions in my name from Busta himself, and he agreed with most of my posts! :p
It was a comment made in anger, and I apologize, but there was some truth behind it, and I mean that in no mean way this time.

But I'm such the conversationalist!
In truth, I'm saddened to hear it, but that's your choice.

Thanks for the apology. It's appreciated. I apologize as well for my sarcastic comments. I know you put forth a lot of work here, and it bothered me a bit to see you seemingly using your position to put your own opinion over that of members. If that was a misunderstanding, then I'm sorry.
I want to be clear though, my feelings haven't changed on the matter, despite it's minor weight. I realize that means nothing to you, but I say it because I want you to know that I apologize not to save myself or make it out that I'm just the innocent helper, but that I respect our small friendship in the past, and you for sticking through so much.
If one hates everyone he/she has a disagreement with, I think one would have a very hard time ever keeping friends around.
