A Mistwalker forum?
Well I know that this is a Final Fantasy Forum, and that Mistwalker's games aren't TECHNICALLY Final Fantasy games, but the studio IS run by Hironobu Sakaguchi who was responsible for the vast majority of the Final Fantasy series, and Uematsu has done some work for Mistwalker too. So how about a forum under the Related Series section? Mistwalker deserves it as much as Kingdom Hearts and the Chocobo spin-offs in my opinion. If not even more so

Never heard of it. Is it a major series I take it?

Well it isn't a series as such, it is the company Hironobu Sakaguchi founded after leaving Square. They have 2 games out on the Xbox 360 (Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon) and plenty more projects in the works for the DS and Xbox 360 respectively.

Hmm...this is a good idea. Not so much now, seeing as how Mistwalker's only big games out now are Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, but I can see a board for them occurring in the future.
I'm sure alot of FF fans like me will be (if they haven't already) placing their hopes in Sakaguchi and Mistwalker, since SE has bastardized Final Fantasy.

I'm with you there. FF XIII is the first Final Fantasy game that isn't a spin-off which I am actually not looking forward too. I do think that Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey alone merits their own forum. And with all the titles Mistwalker has in the works, there will be much more to talk about too. Under all circumstances, I bet it would see more activity than the Chocobo series forum

As such, I'd vote in favour of just creating separate threads for each of these games. They don't seem to be majorly popular as of yet and so one thread each should suffice, in the Gold Saucer or The World is Square forums, I'd imagine - the latter of which would be up to someone's overall discretion.
Otherwise, we'd be just as well making a sub-forum for anyone involved in Square, who has taken part in organisations outwith the series' to which this board is dedicated.

Be that as it may, there aren't a whole lot of people who've played the games yet, let alone know who Mistwalker is.
And we have a board for the Chocobo series? o_O I so did not even know that. Seems a tad silly, I don't think many people outside Japan bother with those games.
