So it that time of the year, when Steve desides to blog xD, anyway as you may know, I recently started using a game rental service in the uk called Lovefilm, which means I get new games all the time 'Lucky Me'. so I decided to start writing short reviews on the games I rent out. I start today with A puzzler alot of you might of played or heard called Catherine.

Catherine is a Puzzle game made by Atlus, recognize them, they make a range of awesome games, including the Persona Games, Blazblue and Guilty Gear. All which I love, so no wonder I picked Catherine up to give it a go. Catherine is about a guy called Vincent 'no not the red coat dude from FFVII, But he is voiced by Tony Baker who voices Snow from FFXIII/FFXIII-2' is going out with a girl called Catherine, who talks to him about getting married. He then starts having dreams about him having to climb a tower, to make sure he don't fall and DIE. on the second night 'after getting drunk' he gets seduced by a girl called Katherine (Confusing Much!!!!!!) and then he wakes up the next morning with her next to him 'Katherine, NOT Catherine'. After discovering that he cheated on his girlfriend, he discovers that men who cheated get cursed to climb a tower, but you see everybody else in the dream as Sheep 'yes you heard that right, SHEEP'.

Now to talk about the GAME part of the game, Catherine gets you to do the persona 3 thing, during the day it a life simulator, at night it a nightmare climbing puzzle game. during the day, you will be talking to people, reading and answering texts from friends and both Catherine and Katherine (Still not Confused!!!!!) Katherine even sends you pictures that you have to look at in the toilet . At night, you will be in nightmares where you have to move blocks to climb up this tower all the way to the top, but if you fall, you die, and that wouldn't be a good thing.

I got to say, I hate puzzle games, but from what I played of it I had alot of fun with it, and the story great, i'm not finishing it cuz i just stress at puzzles, but if i could, I would play the whole game, and I never say that with puzzle games.

Now to AR Tonelico QOGA, oh how i'm about to have a rage with how bad this game is . I managed to play an hour, how I managed that I don't know.

So, I boot the game up, Install the game, game crashes while loading after installing 'well that a good start'. Take 2, the intro nice 'apart from the worse intro song ever' but the best anime style intro as far as quality goes that I ever seen. load the game, another nice anime intro, then we get into the in game graphics...... MY GOD THE Graphics are BAD, this makes Sonic 06 graphics look good, and the walking and running animation . I do better animations with 3DS Max than that. then the battle system, MY GOD it boring, it spam square, you could at least add like say 'press O for cool sword move' or 'Hey Press O for MAGIC' oh wait, you touch nothing to block, OH Come on, at least Star Ocean's 'Do jack to block' had a stat to demeriting how often you do it. sooo i press square to attack and I don't press square to block...... Voice acting ok....... OH GOD, NOT NOEL'S VOICE ACTOR (Switches on Japanese Voice Acting).

Then the singing system , so you have to attack to the singers 'beat' to build up her beat gauge, then you hold R1, R2, L1 or L2 to do a awesome move, but oh wait... you have to 'SHAKE' the controller at the same time. I'm Playing a PS3 not a Fucking WII, IT A RPG NOT WII MOVE. if she does this twice, she goes into a 'let sing more mode' and gets stronger.... by showing more skin..... aka.... Taking her cloths off, in one cutscene, she had to get strong quickly, she did that by going into just her bra and undies..... like, EWWWWWWWWW, perverts made the game, that was the point when I turnt the game off. sooooooooo what do i think of this game that, just that

so finally scores, well Catherine was a great game, my gaming session got ruinied by the perverts that made AR Tonelico QOGA, and the thunderstorm that stopped me from hearing half the games dialog but my final scores and below.

Catherine: 8/10

AR Tonelico: QOGA: 3/10 (Only due to good anime scenes and I quite likes the character design)
