FAQ: Role Playing Battles
What is a Role Playing Battle?
Simply put, role playing battles are written conflicts which include two or more participants who mutually agree to engage in a written battle.
How do I participate in an RPB?
Step 1
In order to take part in a role playing battle, you’re required to have an RPB approved character profile. For information on character creation details, please refer to the character creation FAQ in the Galbadia Garden section of Role Playing Central.
Step 2
You can’t just jump into any random RPB. If you’d like to initiate your own written challenge, you can create an open challenge thread in the Circus section of Role Playing Central. You can also browse through pre-existing challenges and submit your character profile in other RPB sign-up threads.
Remember that all signup/discussion and RPBs take place in the Circus section of Role Playing Central.
How are RPBs scored, and who determines the winner?
RPBs are scored based on the following aspects:
Sentence structure/Grammar/Punctuation
Originality/Quality/Effort
Remember that the length of your post, or the moves that your character decides to make do not give you an upper hand at winning.
RPBs are scored by RP mods alone.
The RP mods here at FFF are chosen based on their own experience and role playing capabilities, and their decisions are consistent and fair.
It is primarily the decision of the RPB participants as to how many RP mods should judge the winner of the RPB.
Who moderates the RP section of the forums?
