What's your dream school, eisprinz?
Actually I'm thinking that if I don't make it past the applications to Notre Dame I might settle down at UCLA, USC or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo since they all have great architecture and engineering programs. I live in San Diego so all three are a good long drive away from home where I live. (Darn San Diego universities not having any of my majors! D:<)

Stanford University! I LOVE it here!!!!
Oh, and if you're interested in architecture, you might want to look at Tulane University in New Orleans. They're a great architecture school (or so I hear) and since they're rebuilding the city, you might be able to get a lot of hands-on opportunities as a budding architect.

Yeah, I dorm here. I used to live in LA, though - as much as I like Stanford, I still love SoCal better!

SoCal is always better.
Anyways, as to Tulane, maybe I'll look at it. I doubt I'll go there but what the heck... I'm trying to get as far away from my family, you see, as my mom seems to have this notion that she can put me with any relative regardless of what school I go to. Oh I'm not taking that. xD

Haha yeah, it really is a good thing to get away from the familiar. It really forces you to reevaluate what you really want in life, rather than just accepting what you've got.
Cal Poly SLO is probably awesome with architecture, if you're looking for your best CA options. I'm not really too keen on how good the architecture major is at the UCs, though.

Heh your the one who only had one roommate.
I've heard a couple of stories about people who shared a dorm. Roommates arguing, having people over, walking around naked, stealing, drugs, issues, etc. I would hate having a roommate who kept inviting boys over and sleeping with them right in my sight! Also the fact that some people walk around naked in their dorms disgust me. Sorry, not in front me please.
Honestly, it's just unattractive to me. I sound selfish but I rather have a room by myself if I can afford it.

I heard that you can get a dorm for yourself after your freshman year at some colleges. Any truth to that?

Yes it is, Erythritol is doing that. It cost extra.
Well, at some colleges you can get a separate rooms in suites. My boyfriend lived in a honor student suite. Each of them had their own rooms and bathrooms. I'm sure their rooms had locks. I heard they're not too bad but since your living with a few other people you'll get along with a couple at least.

Oh good, I might wanna look into that. Sounds perfect for an introvert like myself who doesn't want too much noise and stuff.
