Vincent survived?
Now we all know at the end of the game you see that vincent goes up against Omega while he is in Chao's form, now here is the question... how exactly do you think he survived that, because we see the purple life stream part go back down to the earth don't we so we aren't sure how exactly he survived. give me your ideas, and entertain me on this note, because this should be intersting...

I think we may never know how he survived. It's possibly due to the fact that he is immortal.

I don't know if it's been revealed in the Reunion Files or some other place (I haven't read it) but my guess is that the Protomateria somehow managed to prevent Vincent being affected by the Lifestream. Either that, or Chaos made a shell of sorts around his body and it was Chaos that was destroyed, saving Vincent

hmmm but if chaos made the shell why would chaos want to save vincent? i thought chaos was the impure version of the life stream or that of omega, and also the protomateria isn't that just something that helps keep chaos under control and is one of the strongest materia as well as being one of the purest materia there is? or am i wrong?

Maybe he didn't really survive. I believe Shelke could see the death things in the Lifestream?
She was the only one contacting Vincent after the incident.

It said that Chaos returned to the lplanet after you complete the game. Chaos being a part of Vincent, I'm not entirely sure whether Chaos' essence returned to the planet, or whether his whole being (that including Vincent) was also annihilated in the impact of the explosion. I'd like to think Vincent survived though. Something's telling me they wouldn't just kill Vincent off like that.
Maybe there was something I missed after I beat Omega... I'll have to look back on that.

The Protomateria gives Vincent total control over Chaos. He's the conciousness, but in a different body, so Chaos wouldn't have any choice but to be the one who's destroyed
I like to think that Vincent survived though. I can't see SE killing Vincent off, at least nnot in that manner anyway

I don't see why Vincent would die. His Chaos form was greater than the impure Omega therefor Chaos would come out the victor.

hmmm your probably right seeing as how chaos is an impure form of the life stream and omega the pure, so if omega became impure, then it would be severly weakened
