did you not find alot of it annoying?
when i played/watched it, i found some things really frustrating, on the video's, Vincent can jump over helicopters and the like, but you cant seem to jump on a cart or onto the roof in gameplay...did anyone find anything else slightly annoying?

I thought that you would have a lot more flexibility playing Vincent, it would of been better if he could be controlled a little like Dante from the Devil May Cry games.

I don't think SE really wanted to spend so much time on making it to allow such things to be done during gameplay.
It's just a simple and enjoyable - albeit slightly annoying - game.

considering the 5G interactive software SE had to use for this game they did a very poor job of making Vincent interact with the world around him and this dose just go down to being lazy but when you get to midgar it dose pick up and there was a nice adding of Vincent giving feedback when you did something right
this was a great game that i enjoyed but the game play was very sketchy

yeh i have to agree those sort of things really anoyed me, i expected alot more from it, i mean it is a completly different stylr of game to any other ff before it, but still it was built up a bit to much for me. still really enjoyed the game, always nice to get a differnet side to ffvii story!

I think that was the main reasons that Dirge of Cerberus didn't blow over too well with a lot of FFVII Fans. The Gameplay, especially for an FPS, was far too restrictive. You could only perform a few basic actions during Gameplay, Vincent couldn't jump over even the shortest of obstacles, his movements were a bit...stiff, etc. Then you watch a cutscene and see Vincent leaping over anything and everything, pulling off all of these insane stunts, and overall just being very Advent Childrenish. Naturally, the average player is going to feel a bit cheated.

*sigh* when will my Vincey have some good luck?
I admittedly had very little expectation from the game because of all the terrible reviews I'd seen, so I was actually pleasantly surprised that I managed to enjoy it. There was a hell of a lot of potential there, and it did get really fun near the end of the game, there was more scope for exploring the scenery and scouting for extras.
But as much of a nut as I am, even I saw the failings of the game. The "invisible wall" syndrome had me silently seething, and the double jump and melee attacks made me cringe. I think I imagined he would be a lot more versatile, being tall dark and vampish afterall.
The gun modding and materia were a nice touch, and brought it back from the brink, but again, still limited to a few select guns.
*sighs again* poor Vince, *runs off and cries*

Yup, this was pretty annoying. Of all the things that they should have added in, was what he could do with his cape. He was crazy in AC, when Cloud went down lol. I wish I could do that in AC...and the whole one materia at a time thing was a real pain.

To be honest I found the whole game annoying. It was a good concept but they pulled it off pretty badly. I think they need to take some time off of FFVII and find a new way to entice us to buy their games.
I like the fact that you find out a lot about Vincents past but whats the point? I mean are we gonna have a game where we learn everything about Cait? I hope not.
SqEnix needs to stay away from shooters as well. Get back to RPGs cause thats their strong point.
