Did you obtain Ultima Weapon?

Did anyone get the ultima weapon in DoC? I did but the amout of gil it took was extortionate. Also even getting the model gun was tricky as usually I would just kill the guy and pick up the cardkey...

No, I haven't. I'm thinking of playing through on EX Hard again and just getting all the XP instead of money. How did you get it?

No, but once I finish my current game and start a new one, I will.

So, is it true you get it by picking up the toy gun and then upgrading it? I read about it the OPS2M... the gil was a bit, eh.

Yeah it's true, you need to get the toy gun in edge and upgrade it. If I remember right the total amount needed is around 245,000 gil!
(In case you don't know, to get the toy gun, when you find the guy with the card key that the little boy shows you just melee him and keep running down the stairs, you'll find it on the bottom floor of that house)

hmm i beat the game twice and i never new about the ultima weapon lol... i found the toy gun but i thought it was useless...

I found the Toy Gun by accident and I had no idea it made Ultima Weapon until I read a Walkthrough on the game, I won't try and get it though, I don't think it's worth the trouble.

It is worth the trouble. It holds 99 bullets, and no weapon in the game (with the exception of the Death Penalty of course) comes close to the damage this gun does. It also has great range and accuracy, so it can be paired with the Lucky S Barrel for a lot of EXP.

I got it and i think it was a waste of time becuz your almost dont with the game when you get it

I only played it through once and then got bored with it. I thought the game was O.K. but not up to Final Fantasy standards. I didnt even know you could get the ultima weapon.
