Dragon fate

A fellow member will be assisting me. Joshua Slade and I will be working to make this a good fan fiction.

This is the new project stated. This is inspired by a book, a couple of movies, and several video games.

Final Fantasy Dragon fate character sheet:

Michael Huinza

Michael is a 16 year old boy with a dream to become a knight. He is an outcast of his village, scorned for no reason and lives with his adopted father, who is a red mage in the city of Trinsic.

(This was not intended to be named after the administrator Garnet.)

She is the princess of a long line of dragons, she meets Michael at his hometown heavily wounded. Through the forgotten magicks of the Old Age, she bonds with him to help realize his destiny.

Somewhat of an enigma, the so called 'Shadowmaster' is mentioned to be one of the heroes of the past. The Master sold his soul for power and immortality and now governs the Dark Capitol of Umbra. He appears to have a part in the war.

Sai Trammel

A knight of the Old Kingdom, he was sent to protect Michael by request of his foster father, who died in the line of duty. When he meets Michael, he tries to kill Garnet, with an intention of protecting him from her.

This is the current character sheet, I am done writing the 1st chapter.

Story:

The kingdoms of Sosaria were at peace 500 years ago. But war has broken out, each side took the creatures of the land and sea to fight. The dragons retreated into the mountains to avoid conflict, some becoming statues and sealing themselves away to avoid others abusing their powers. Others formed a kingdom and rule over them. The Prophecies of old tell of a boy and a dragon to end the conflict, wielding magical powers. This is their story.

--Chapter 1: Trismegistus--
My God, so nervous.

The sun continued to shine upon the Loldrin house, where step-father and son practiced. The boy called Michael had silver hair, and slightly tan skin, his farm clothes, which consisted of black and white overalls, fluttered as he trained. His stepfather quickly swung and knocked his sword out of Michael's hand. "Your getting quite good at this, Michael. Someday you might make a fine squire." his stepfather said jokingly, much to his sons dismay. Michael smiled and followed his father inside "Well, this is good practice father; Soon I may leave to find my own path." his father smirked and gulped down his midday mead.

"Yes, my son. Your skills with the sword are advancing quickly, your learning techniques that took me years to master. The best part is, your ambidextrous!" The silver haired adolescent smirked at this comment, he could use both his right AND left hand, making dual-wielding his strongest skill. After a while, they both went outside to practice. Their training katanas collided with one another, they both fought until sundown and headed inside to their beds. Michael laid in bed wide awake, he wanted so badly to leave his home, the laws of Trinsic stated he could leave when he turned 17. 'Dear God, I pray. Guide the hands of fate, I wish for a better life for all.'

----

"Father!" a dragoness screamed as she ran down the hall, her father had gotten very ill, and was on the brink of death. She burst into her fathers room and silently knelt by his side. Both dragons had red scales covering their bodies and head and green orbs for eyes, both were about 15 meters long, and 10 meters high. "My dear..Garnet..I must take my leave of this place, the Shadows call for me.." her father, King Hyldrun wheezed and coughed horribly. A tear ran down Princess Garnet's green eye and she laid her head on his chest, listening to his breath and heartbeat. It slowed and his breath became quieter as his heart stopped beating. Garnet whiped her tears of her scaley face and pulled up his sheet to cover her fathers face.

A servant came in and said "Milaord, the Seer wishes to speak with you, the High Mage will be there as well." Garnet raised her head and faced the servant "The King is dead. As there is no one else to take the throne, and since I am the princess of the mountains. I'll take the role of royalty and go attend the meeting." she went to the gates and awaited her royal escorts, when they arrived they flew to the tower where the wisest people in all of Sosaria awaited. 'These inferior humans are at war once more, The Seer and High Mage will know how to end it; And we might even gain some new servants and be able to move back into our homelands.'

Garnet and her escorts landed and walked into the tower, the Seer and High Mage silently bowed, they were both half-breeds, half dragon half humans, they were almost the same size Garnet was, if not a little shorter "Milady, I'm sorry for your father the king, he was a good man." the dragon queen bowed and said "My father is in a better place now, what news have you?" the High Mage and Seer motioned towards the tower and headed inside.

It seems kind of short.

Greetings all, I apologize for the long delay, there have been matters that require my undivided attention. this is the second chapter, hopefully it will be longer than the first one.

redusai whomaru kokoniru. (Grace, give me the strength, it means; For future reference, I will be using some japanese language within the fanfic and a bit of made up languages as well.)

Chapter 2
~~The betrayed, the betrayer, and the knight~~

Garnet the dragoness followed the Seer and High mage through the tower halls, the walls were filled with old relics, some were heads of Yeti's from the old times; Some were old statues of the Ancient Dragons, the very ones who sealed themselves away. Old weapons such as old broardswords, slightly rusted axes that were created from the very hide of Dragon-kind that the humans killed and mounted onto their weapons--the very thought of humans doing that to her kind would haunt Garnet's mind forever--and used their hides are pieces of armor. The old emblems were carved in the shape of a dragon, to which the humans symbolize as courage, bravery, and something else the dragoness couldn't quite understand. The trio passed through the dining hall in into the Seeing chamber, which was almost as black as night, except for a glowing crystal in the middle of the room, mounted on a pedestal that seemed to stare at them with those jeweled eyes that blinked as though they were peering through the very fabric of time itself.

"Tell me, what did you call me here for?" Garnet hissed angrily, and the Seer quickly replied in an agitated tone "All in due time, my dear."

They then proceeded to the middle of the room and the High Mage stopped, and cleared his throat "We called you here to show you this." he waved his hand over the crystal, which sparkled greatly and and revealed a barren landscape, the bodies of humans littered the whole field, and not one of them was left standing in the wilderness. "The war between the humans is worsening." "I understand that fully," Garnet cut in "BUT I don't see why this has to do with ME, those blasted humans hunt down my kin and slaughter them for fame, glory, and components to make what they call armor and weapons, which is unforgivable, no matter how you word how those humans!"

"But, this war is being taken into the mountains, where your kindgom dwells, there is a chance that that same slaugher will happen again." The Seer said "The kingdom will fall, and the souls of all those will be given to the Darkness, as planned." she added, with a flicker of evil in her eyes that seemed to startle Garnet.

The dragon queen sensed danger and started to run to the door, which closed shut in her face. "I'm afraid we can't let you leave my dear." The seer said "Your soul will make an excellent feast to our master!" she screeched like a harp with the same evil flicker still within her eyes and snapped her fingers, the dragons statues cracked and they burst from their stony statues and inched toward her, their red and acid yellow eyes glaring, something was different with these dragons their spirits were stolen from them, making them easy prey for a Dead Soul Manipulation spell. One of the dragons opened its mouth wide and spit a ball of fire at Garnet, and missed, but hit the dragoness' shoulder, making a searing mark.

"You can't hold me here!" the red dragon screeched and stretched her broad wings, she took off and crashed headlong into the ceiling and flew outside. The demon-possessed dragons stretched their own wings and took off after her. "Jairu, Shimatta!"

-----

Michael put the metal slop pail he had taken back on the rack, the cows and other farm animals were fed with their daily meals of old rotten food, and parts of dead animals--mostly birds--that happened to fall into the basins. (I could imagine how disgusting that is.) He headed off to his house and looked up at the sky, it was so beatiful this time of day, it looked almost as if the very sky was expecting something to happen. He scratched his silver hair and looked around, there was no sign of his stepfather all day, and he had promised to take Michael to the chocobo (Final Fantasy cross-over here.) races. He shrugged and headed to the lake, at this time of day, the lake looked as if it was a golden yellow, like the sky was. He stripped himself of his shirt, shoes, socks, and gloves and dove headfirst right into the water.

'Life.. is always so dull for me, I have the potential to use various amounts of weapons, but I feel as if its held back. Why do I feel like this?' Michael asked himself and submerged himself into the lake, looking around the area for various things that peaked his interest.

-----

Garnet cried out, the dragons had scored a direct hit with a fireball into her hindquarters. They had kept this up for almost an hour, and showed no signs of giving up. One of the dragons inhaled deeply and spat out another fireball, which hit Garnet in the chest. The pain was too much, she dropped out of the sky and crash-landed in a forest near a farm. The dragons had not caught a glimpse of where she landed, and flied around in circles to discover her whereabouts. After a while, they finally gave up and flew away.

---

Michael was stunned momentarily, here he was, coming out of the water with a sock-full of clams and other sea-shells, and a red winged creature suddenly falls from the sky, almost squashing him if he hadn't jumped out of the way. The winged creature sure was big! Michael had measured out and guessed that she was 20 meters long. His glance shifted to a wound on her chest and he rushed towards her.

Garnets vision was hazy, the only thing she saw was a figure with silver hair come towards her carefully, the next thing she knew, she blacked out.

Hmm, it appears no one is looking at this fanfiction, but it will perservere.

story summary so far for those who are just joining: Garnet attended a meeting and was betrayed. She is attacked and falls from the sky next to an unsuspecting Michael, it continues..

Chapter 3: When worlds collide..

Michael carefully tended to the wounds of a red creature, she had sustained much damage, and was fading in and out of conciousness. The adept swordsman looked around and saw a bush with light blue leaves and edged near it. It looked so familiar, if it was what he thought it was it would help the wounded creature. His hand slowly reached out and touched the leaf lightly, pain shot up his arm. Kingsfoil! After ripping the small branch out of the bush, Michael rushed back to the creature, took two small stones, and rubbed the leaf lightly. A foulsmelling-purple liquid oozed from the leave and Michael lightly rubbed it on her wound, being very careful to not to add to much, for it could cause huge blisters, and would only hurt the creature even more. "Well, that should sustain it, the worst of the damage so far is a broken rib and wing." He said to no one in particular, and stroked the creatures smooth hide. It felt so soft and warm, and just a poke proved how hard it was; considering doing so broke his finger.

A loud moan from the winged creature brought Michael up to her, the creature tried to move, but cried out in pain. "Please don't move, your wounds are pretty bad!" Michael softly said and added another small amount of medicine to her wounds. Her great green orbs fixed on him and a semi-loud femaile voice rumbled "AND WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!" causing Michael to jump about a foot in the air "A-A-A," he couldn't even say it, he was so scared. "Adding m-m-medicine to your w-w-wounds." he said meekly. Sensing a little bit of fear, the dragoness smirked "What? Haven't you ever seen a dragon before, human?" she asked and sighed in relief. This human, to her, didn't seem to bad; He clearly had no intent to kill her, or harm her in any way. "To think, I had my life saved by this puny, wretched weakling." That was it, Michael's eyes literally bulged with rage and he hissed calmly, yet strictly "Just be glad this puny human IS saving your life."

Garnet snorted and actually laughed (which actually hurt.) "I must give you points for your spirit, human," her voice actually have a two-octave crack which actually surprised her "Now, do you have a name, or should I give you one? Oh, I know your going to ask, my name is Garnet." Michael quickly introduced himself and offered the dragoness food, which only managed to fill a hole in her voracious appetite.

"...You are naught but a boy. Do you not have family?"

"My step-father, but he is never here. Off doing the kings business, or usually just teaching me how to fight." Michael calmly stated, much to the dismay of the dragon queen. She actually FELT for him, for a species she never bothered to care for.

"Its nothing, always a new day, right?" He said, and took off his white shirt. He ripped it into shreds and bandaged her wounds. Garnet laid her head down and looked up at the stars 'This human took very good care of me, I should be able to move by tommorow. But.. something tells me to stay here, at least for a little while.'

Michael took his socks and shoes and left the dragoness there to rest. He ventured through the forest and a man in a brown cloak stood in the path "Very good, Michael. This will be your test." the figure chuckled.

"Who the hell are you?" Michael asked and reached for his sword. "You still lack the skill of combat. I give these words to you: Become even stronger, consume everything in your soul, and use that as your stepping stone." he said and vanished in a brown light.

"My regards to the dragon."

After a long time, this chapter is now available. No one seems to be taking any interest in this fanfic.. But I say again, it will perserver

~~~~~
Chapter 4: Count your hardships
Michael tossed and turned in bed that night, that grey robed man, who was he? What happened to Garnet? Who exactly was she? Where has my stepfather gone? So many questions, none of which he had answers to. Michael slowly closed his eyes and fell asleep, listening to the sounds of the woods.
That morning.
Garnet stretched and winced, her wing was still hurting. The pain had dulled but hadn't completely vanished, she looked around and saw the little human had gone, and the stench of cooked deer made her turn her massive head to see it next to her. 'A treat from the human? Ah well, mustn't waste it.' she ate flesh from bone, humming in pleasure. The deer now resting inside her stomach, which gave a happy gurgle as she pat it. The dragoness slowly got up and walked out of the woods, gazing at the new wonders around her. She had never been off the Dragoneye mountains, and now she was around this new place. The birds chirping, the very life beneath her claws seemed to calm her. There was a farm with alot of horses and other animals walking around, she suspected as much that the human lived here.
Michael got up and yawned and saw Garnets large muzzel out his window "Good morning, little one." she said calmly, which actually surprised her; These humans, which she hated, she was now acting like she was friends 'Dear God, what has happened to me?' she asked herself as she chuckled.
"Hey! How are you feeling?"
"Good, thanks to that leafy purple medicine you gave me," The queen made a face "Even if it does smell foul."
Michael laughed out loud, and made her smile. As he watched her become alarmed at something. She disappeared and Michael ran outside, a large caravan was parked directly in front of the farmhouse. A rather well dressed and chubby man opened the coach door and stepped down, a scroll opened and he read it off in a empathetic tone.
'Mr. Michael Huinza, we are here to express our deepest sympathies with you as we regretfully inform you, that Giani Wallace was killed in action by an arrow to the head. We give to you his armor, and the weapon he used when he died in combat.'
He folded the scroll and handed him bloodstained armor, Michael took it and shook uncontrollably. His stepfather, the only person who cared and gave him a reason to live, had left this world. The messenger pat his shoulder and bowed. He went back into the coach and took off.
Garnet seemed to appear out of nowhere and saw Michael sobbing, his glistening tears dropping on his fathers armor. She laid next to him and stroked his head with her claw. "What will you do now?" she whispered and nuzzled him, trying everything to comfort him. "I don't know.. But I cannot stay here now." he replied and laid his head against her cheek. Garnet sighed and told him to get packed; Michael gave her a confusing look and she encouragingly used her tail to direct straight to his room.
Michael grabbed his suitcase, grabbed all his clothes and went outside. Garnet sunk her teeth into his shirt and took flight. Lands and water was in his sight as a quivering Michael flung wildly.
"Stop moving! I'm going to drop you." Garnet said, talking over his shirt. She gracefully landed on a type of landing platform, and a bronze dragon ran up "You Majest..y.." He said, taking note of the human in her jaws "Ahh, lunch?" he said licking his maw, drool was oozing out, which made Michael gulp (which actually was very noticable.) "No, your to be his guardian. This human has my permission. He is our guest." Garnet gives looked daggers at him. Big, rusty, daggers.
The Bronze dragon flinched and bowed at the new guest. "Gah..I'll be keeping my eye on you, boy." he said and showed him to the living quarters so he could leave his belongings there. Michael plopped down on the bed, which was actually bigger than he was and fell asleep.
---
Garnet retired to her own living quarters and was quickly confronted by the same bronze dragon she had met at the landing platform "Why are you keeping him here?" "I owe him a life debt, and so help me God, I'm going to repay him for it. If you don't like it, I hope you like being exiled." the bronze raised a scaley eyebrow "Ohh.. I see whats going on here, you LIKE him don't you?" Garnet shook her head 'no' and ordered him out of the room. She turned to the window 'Could I be..? No there is now way I should be..But really..Am I..?'
