Unknown Element
Has anyone ever gotton the unknown element? (Besides me) And if so, there was a place you could get to with that element, and there was a certain boss. Has anyone ever beat it? If so, please explain!

I've beaten it. I beat most of the game with my brother, but I wrapped up the game solo. Made me feel rather lonely. Anyway, the unknown element has several perks. First of all, you don't need to change elements anymore to get through the Miasma Streams. The Unknown handles it all. Second, there is a specific Stream that you cannot pass through without the Unknown Element. You'll know it when you find it. As for the final boss, well, just make sure you have a lot of memories stocked up.

What do the memories have to do with it? Out of curiosity...

During the final battle, they are used to damage the boss. You can't kill him with standard attacks. The memories are ripped from you. If collect them, they are inserted into command slots as ???. They either cast Curaga, Firaga, Thundaga, or Blizzaga. Or, they bestow a shield that prevents all damage for a limited period of time. If you don't collect them, they dissappear. Either way, you slowly lose the memories. Or at least, that's how I remember it.

Ohh......All I remember is that I made it to the last part of the battle, and I lost, cause it got too hard. I remember that it would give off miasma and such, but yeah I kept losing...with help. When the boss steals your memories, what exactly do they look like?

They appear as floating spheres, sort of like soap bubbles. In each one is a person you have met, mostly members of your family. If you've only gotten up to the miasma plant in Mount Vellenge, you still have two tough fights ahead of you. I would suggest reviewing your journal, though, in case you've been playing for a while.

Alright. Keep in mind that the game evolves to keep up with your growth as well, though.
At year 13.

Ah. Okay, right now, I just have a cure ring, and I think I have the prism bludgeon. I have to check. Oh and right now, I think I have around, 70 memories.
So I'm guessing the years will just keep going by until you beat the bosses at Mt. Vellenge?

Correct. As I'm sure you've seen in the other thread, some people have gotten up to 54 years and counting. . . .
