Final Fantasy CC IGN Review
Final Fantasy CC IGN Review
Like the title and description already says, Final Fantasy Crisis Core for the PSP has been given a 8.5/10 "Great" score. "IGN" being a fair and reasonably unbiased source put the newest compilation title in its "Editors' Choice" category. This is really good news because we got ourselves a spinoff thats actually good, so read the review for yourselves and get the game when ot comes out
Release Dates
US: March 25, 2008
Japan: September 13, 2007
Europe: June 27, 2008

Non-Bias? Sounds like my kind of source. The media is way too bias.
Sounds Reliable, for sure.

Nah, thats fair. The only bias they have is for the 360.
Anyone, from what I've read from other reviews, sources etc. then its pretty much spot on IGN's review. But since, the PSP is region free I'm going to order Crsis Core for my birthday (April 27th) instead of waiting until June :p

fair review i suppose.
the main things that annoy me about Crisis Core is the thing that the reviewer liked, which was the 'missions'. It's not like FF7 where you play a story, its split up into missions which makes for gameplay that doesn't flow. other than that, it was a decent enough review.
but reviews dont mean anything, they're one persons views. some of the games with poor reviews turn into great games, and vice versa

Game Informer said that the gameplay was boring, the missions were boring, and they did not like the way you level up your character (a roullette wheel?). From a review like that, I wouldn't buy it. However...
They did say that the in-game animations were amazing. And it was nice to see Zack's story. That immediately made me change my mind about getting it. Plus I already reserved it anyway
So, yeah, I'm getting it. Its a FF game, spin-off or not.

Awesommme. I'm going to pick up my reserved copy this Tuesday!
There are some things that I'm looking forward to, like the cute AerisxZack scenes, and what looks like a great battle system. And there are things that I'm not looking foreward to...like stupid new characters that make no sense, and have the same fashion managers as the girls from FFX-2...

TO Shyne:
That is somewhat incorrect. I've played and finished the game, and it plays like a normal rpg (action rpg) where you advance from one part of the story to another. The missions are accessed in the game menu, and the are totally optional, there only purpose is to simulate a soldiers job, to obtain rare items, and they can be used to train Zack. There are a lot of these missions, unlocked as u do certain tasks within the game. They are however not needed in anyway to advance the main story.
Ive already played and finished the JAP version, and the CG animations are ridiculously good. You wouldn't know it's the PSP unless u were watching for yourselves. About what shine said, i would like for him to remember what the psp has come out with so far, The other psp games pale in comparison in terms of quality and story. Keep in mind once again this is a handheld device and not a full console, so some of the flaws can be forgiven because of that. The gameplay feature "missions" would make more sense on the psp because it's not built to sit down and play for days(exageration) its to pick up and play and put down and thats it. I know when i played i found convenient, whenever i had freetime i'd do a mission or two. So the quality your getting in this game is extremely good for the platform. Also another note about the game is that this is Final Fantasy, the story is so amazing and the delivery is right on point, you have to be cold hearted if your not in tears by the end of the game because it touches you so much. For the psp this game is the best your gonna get but that doesnt mean your not gonna have fun with it.

if you think the PSP has 'pale' games, you're missing out - ALOT.
I know this is probably the best, in fact im certain it's the best PSP game, i've been following FF since 1997 and has played and completed most games in the series, trust me, i KNOW my FF games. I just said that i dont like some parts in this one that's all.
maybe i'll enjoy the English version more, because it got abit crazy playing a Japanese game when you have no idea what's going on.

If my tax return doesn't come in soon (which is should as it says its been processed), I won't be getting it... but I will be if it does (duh). I'm looking forward to Zack's story.
