Zack faked his death?
I believe Zack faked his death. Although I think there might be a chance he survived long enough to at least get into one final battle (maybe with Genesis?) before dying cause of everything his body went through. But that's just my theory.

No he didn't fake his death, and I think that'll be confirmed in Crisis Core. It's also stated that where you see the Buster Sword in Advent Children is where Zack is buried and that's also where he was shot down. Also, it shows Zack in the whitespace at the end of AC, so no, I don't believe he faked his death at all. A chest full of bullets...I don't think that's possible.

no Zack did not fake his death....because in the game in the Shinra Mansion there are files that confirm that he was killed while Cloud escaped

Personally...I think it would ruin the plot if he turned up alive, but...you never know, ShinRa has a lot of dirty secrets. Maybe they cloned him...
But I agree with LA...Maiden who travels the planet definitely states that Zack is in the lifestream with Aerith.

It's kinda hard to fake being shot at point blank... but I'm not putting anything out of the question til Crisis Core comes out. My biggest arguement is that you see him with Aeris in AC...

Shinra is gone. Zack is gone. And, from what we know of, Sephiroth and Jenova are gone. (Is is possible to fake your death when your dead? NO.)

You could add the fact that Aeris being there at the end of AC to your argument.
They're both dead, and are part of the lifestream. How did they even appear at the place they did?
Then again, it's pointless arguing about most things AC, since Nomura planned parts of it to be trivial.

Oh and by the way, Zack is truly dead.
