Sephiroth - Insane?

I have only seen a few bits and pieces about this game and i think its going to be awesome. We know about sephiroth and his 'mission', but does anyone else think that in this game he might be nicer, friendlier, saner and like a completely different person?

I hope so, just to see that other side to him, i think it would at a lot more depth to FF7.

Of course he is. Most of the game, or at least a considerable portion of it, is going to be set before the Nibelheim incident, and before Sephiroth finds out about his origins and therefore he will be a 'sane' Sephiroth.
I think they're portraying him as too powerful though. Just look at the second trailer, and you see him taking on Genesis and Angeal, who are both supposed to be Elite 1st Class members of SOLDIER, with ease =\.

Yeah but what i mean is, although he fights on the 'good' side i feel he could be still quite indifferent towards his comrades. Like cold.

But he has no need to in CC. It's before he found out about his origins, and so he has mututal feelings towards his comrades (I expect). However, later on there is some event (possibly at Nibelheim) that causes him to fight against Genesis and Angeal (the main 'good guy' if you like).

I can understand why he'd seem "sane" but there could be some part of his genes that forces him to be destructive

and what console is this coming/ is out on?

Um PSP i think. I can't wait for the moment where someone asks him about his family. Can't wait to see the look on his face when somone says hows ur mum or something. Its gonna be creepy i just know it!

It wasn't his genes. He found out about his parentage and his origins and promptly went insane and destroyed as much as possible.
It's going to be out on PSP, but the date is still unconfirmed =\.

But when he was sane, he believed is parents to be normal, and not to be monsters so his reaction should be normal.

But he knew he wasn't normal, he was too strong. Do they do any kind of blood tests in FF7. Can you imagine? Lol....

He knew he was more powerful than other members of SOLDIER, but that was down to arrogance. He most likely put it down to a mix of natural ability and his exposure to Mako that all members of SOLDIER are given.
Trust me when I say that he knew nothing of how he was created until the Nibelheim incident.

I trust ya, but its not arrogance when you really are that strong. I always thought he was quite level headed. Hence the cold bit. I wonder if it was Jenova or just the conspiracy of not knowing about any of it until Nibelheim that drove him mad?
