I loved the poem Loveless and Genesis seemed to bring it to life in the game at times and at others he seemed to emotional, when I first played the game and found out it was a poem, I looked it up and read the whole thing, and I have to say I enjoyed reading it alot.

Hey, just found this by googling about loveless, and wanted to share mu theory about it.

[When the war of the beasts brings about the world’s end]..
This could be referring literally to the WEAPONS, specifically to what happens in Dirge of Cerberus

Act III (Poem)
My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow

I always though this refers to Angeal. He decides to defend the world from whatever might put it in danger, but only to decide later on that he himself is the menace. All that awaits him is a somber morrow, no matter what he chooses.

Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return

As many said before, this most likely refers to Genesis, who 'returns' at the end of DoC

Act IV (Poem)
My friend, the fates are cruel
There are no dreams, no honor remains
The arrow has left the bow of the goddess

Omega awakens again? After all, its mission is to absorb the lifestream and set forth for a new planet. It fits the image of an arrow perfectly.

My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey
In my own salvation
And your eternal slumber

It might refer to Angeal. In CC he said he wanted only revenge, and seems lost about which path to take until later on, when he finds his own salvation (returning to the lifestream) and the eternal slumber of Genesis (who is rejected from the lifestream by Minerva and falls into sleep , seemingly until the end of DoC.

Lol, and yes, i was annoyed by Genesis quoting habits, though it didnt bother me at first... and then I began to fear everytime Genesis was mentioned, in case he might suddenly appear and start with his favorite hobby xD

No, I found it rather poteic but, he sounded empty each time he said those quotes.

I know i sure do
