The two men we see in the 1st class uniforms are Weiss and Nero from DOC. They call Genesis "brother" because they all have G-cells, and they procede to try and convince him to join deepground. Genesis opts instead to seal himself away in that flooded chamber in DOC, in order to await the day whenever a crisis threatens the world.

If you don't understand why he does the above, read these pages from the FF7 Ultimania...

By being defeated by Zack, Genesis is able to regain the pride he had as a SOLDIER, and with Sephiroth and Angeal now dead, he decided that it is up to him, who has being left behind, to protect the world. And so, in order to prepare for the day when a crisis threatens the world, Genesis seals himself in the flooded chamber on his own volition. This is the true meaning of Genesis' version of the phrase from the final chapter of LOVELESS, and at the same time the true meaning of the secret movie in DC

In CC Nero and Weiss are on a mission to recover Genesis, so in this case "will he agree to it?" means "will he agree to join us or not?" But, as in the response for A6-3, Genesis rejects it and decides to have himself sealed in the water-filled chamber below Midgar.

Hopefully that answers everybody's questions. The rest will be answered in whatever comes after DOC..

I'm pretty certain that it is weiss and nero who pick him up at the end because kadaj yazoo and loz appear in the crater after sephiroth disappears in ff7, plus in ff doc he calls weiss his brother as others have said.

Also, if you look closely at the scene where Nero and Weiss take Genesis off, you can examine the belt insignias, you'd think they were from Soldier, but nay is the case. The symbol is actually that of Deepground.

Its definitely nero and weiss who pick up genesis in the end remember the bad guys of ac are remnants of sephiroth.

I don't really understand the need for genesis, I don't think he added to anything. If he's good what the point? I don't want to see a spin off with Genesis as the protagonist.

It was Weiss who picked Genesis up at the end, saying that he intended him to become their "brother"....to join them and overturn the Restrictors, dominating Ragnarok...Genesis declined, having regained his pride from his defeat at the hands of Zack; Genesis then locked himself away until the Planet needed him again- thus what we see in the end of DoC...

The connection of Kadaj and Genesis is so far-fetched....I don't know how it was ever made..
