Frozen Emerald WEAPON is in Crisis Core
Emerald WEAPON (famous optional boss from Final Fantasy VII) has been spoted in the final area of Crisis Core's gameplay, the Banora Cave (on the Mideel island). However, it is only a cameo easter egg appearance. Since Sephiroth had not yet released the WEAPONs from the Northern Crater to cleanse the world of Gaia of humanity, Emerald appears only in a frozen state. Awaiting to be called for.

Look around in the main area in the final dungeon. I think the actual name of the area is Judgment of something or something of Judgment. It doesn't take too long to find, because once you go up the hill that shows you Emerald in the background, it leads nowhere.

I'm in the Depths of Judgement right now (the place where you see all those green crystalized piece of lifestream) and I'm not seeing it...am I missing something? Is there a particular place you have to go? If you're talking about that giant green thing on the door (Light of Doom) where Genesis comes out in the Portal of Severance, that is not Emerald WEAPON. There is no way it even could be. o_o Or are you talking about Lake of Oblivion where all of those lifestream streams are where you have to fight the different forms of Genesis or something? That bright green light up there? If that's what you're talking about, it's too bright to even ascertain if that's even Emerald WEAPON.
edit: Bah! You're right! I just found it! How awesome is that!? I'm in the Depths of Judgement and if you go up on one of the taller cliffs to where the waterfall is at the back, sure enough Emerald WEAPON is back there and it's frozen. What an awesome find, Chillen! Kudos to you! ^^

For a moment there I thought you fight with it in a mission but still. Anyways, I thought the weapons were created by Shinra since they look all metalic.
