ok i just finished normal mode. bit too easy for my liking but an awesome game indeed. so i started a new game in hard and it was like .... very very hard. basically i want a challenge, but perhaps starting scratch in hard is not what im really lookin for.

anyways, what i mean to ask is, if i start a new game+ in hard, at lvl 35, will it still get hard down the track??? because i do really want a challenge, but starting from scratch might be a little too much of a doosey.

im also contemplating selling everything i own so i start from scratch minus DMW stats and my lvls.


what do ppl recommend??


ps, would completing hard with new game + and the missions still be considered an accomplishment???.... or is it cheap? if its considered too easy, i gues ill just do hard mode w/out new game +

i rekon i was bein soft before, i just got past ifrit without much trouble and i think ill have a bash at it! i can already see its alot more rewarding, i was stoked even to just get a DMW... huge difference compared to the experience of normal mode

do u get to keep your level if you start hard mode, im right at the end of normal made at level 50

well yes you do if you do a new game +... the problem is that hard then becomes way too easy :( and therefore theres not much point in doin hard.. therefore ive decided to do hard with a clean start. and i can tell you its quite forfilling and challenging.

i do have a question to any1; im trying to grind in hard mode but all of a sudden i dont get any DMW..... and i mean NONE.. the last 25 battles i havant got a single moduclation phase and i odubt im gonna get another one... im grinding on the first mission, and after awhile i just didnt get a modulation phase :S (yes i still have SP)

any help!?

im still not sure what was happening there... perhaps there is a limit to how many times you can do a mission and still get a modulation phase.... but much more likely is that i just had the worst run of bad luck in the history of this game (over 50 battles, no modulation phase :S...... super weird)

I've had the same problem. I'm trying to complete as many missions as possible as soon as they become available, but I'm getting very few limit breaks. The few times that the DMW actually gets into the modulating phase, I never get a match. It's made me realise how much of a help the DMW was the first time I played the game lol.

Well if you finished the game that in itself is an accomplishment

i started hard with a lvl 47
But i stacked the Hp 9999 and had to rely on brute force and 9999 Ap points lol my defense sucked ass lol

Dash and dodging works wonders lol

since my first post on this topic i persevered with a clean file in Hard Mode and I've finished the game! even beat Minerva!! woohoo.

anyways, it was sooo much funner thna the first playthrough, i suggest it to any1! seriously u havent played this game until youve done hard mode, normal mode is soo simple compared to this. it forces you to play smart and eliminates the button mash element from the game.

seriously plz ppl, give hard mode a shot, it was bad ass seeing Sephy hit for 7000 made everything totally epic

it took me two days to get past the wutai place in hard mode

D: yea hard mode is totally funner then normal its way more challenging, in normal you barely die :x
