Genesis's sword
I am a very big fan of Kamui Shiro, main charcter of X/1999, so when i played Crisis core, i couldn't help but notice this
Genesis... obviously
Kamui Shiro, from the film X, released in 1999
Now compare their swords... any comments?

I hadn't played either of those but the likeness is really remarkable. They have the same features but the ones from the game are minimized. Sorry about my vocabulary Angelus made me think so I have my brain turned on for now.

I've just seen a close up of Genesis' handle on his sword and there isn't a huge similarity. The whole shape of it is similar but apart from that I don't see much similarity apart from that Genesis' sword has a wing sticking out either side of it.
As much as I don't like Nomura I think this one is just either a coincidence or those types of swords may generally be like that.

The movie was a major let down in comparison to the manga, and even the anime 
Although, I'll always know Kamui from all those scenes where he gets molested by Fuuma
Anyways, I guess there is a likeness between the swords, but they still are different. I think the handle is something similar to fencing swords...maybe...
I've been playing Persona 3, and some of the "short sword" weapons have the similar styled handles to the "Rapier" style

Some resemblance, right? So it's not far fetched to see similar sword designs in different places  |

I havn't played CC yet but I've watched some CS's on YouTube and I must admit, those swords look very similar to eachother. They are different in spots but over all they are almost the same.

It also has that differently colored part in the middle of the sword right above the handle.

they are similar, is all i said... but i thought they copied it or something
oh and i do fencing, the saber isn't like that, the fencing swords don't have a wide enough blade, or a guard like that, they have a circular one, not one of a broadsword, long sword or short sword style guard

They look the same far away but i think when u get upclose Genesis sword is different, besides they look almost just alike.

I doubt they copied the sword - it's more likely a mere coincidence. The guard looks somewhat similar (from far away anyway), yes, but most fancy guards do tend to look similar to each other at some point anyway. Sure the blade looks kinda alike as well, but I've seen a lot of other similar blades in other anime and games too.
