Crisis Core F.A.Q.'s

I thought it would be best to sticky a thread with general FAQ's about this game, since I believe there is going to be an onslaught of, 'when is this game coming out?', 'who is in this game?', 'when does it take place?' etc.....

If a mod wants to edit anything here, or add go ahead. And any member that has correct and current information, please feel free to post and add on to this as well:

1.) Is Crisis Core a remake or a sequel, or what?

Crisis Core, is not a sequel, and it is most certainly not a remake. It is a Prequel to Final Fantasy VII that is coming out for the PSP (Playstation Portable).

2.) When is Crisis Core going to be released?

Crisis core, as of now, has no set release date anywhere outside of Japan. The Japanese official release is set to be on September 13th 2007.

3.) Is Gackt really providing the voice for the character 'Genesis'?

For the last time, YES. IT IS GACKT. He was also voicing Genesis in the other compilation title, Dirge of Cerberus. The character design is also based on Gackt as well.

4.) Is that the Buster Sword Angeal has?

YES. IT IS. I still see people asking this question too, and have had a couple people ask me directly. It is the same Buster Sword Zack had, and then finally Cloud.

5) Who is the playable character(s)?
So far, the only named playable character is Zack Fair, though Cloud does feature in the story. It's possible that he will be playable, but I personally doubt it.
Yuffie will also be playable, but only in a mini-game that seems to (from screenshots - no official announcement) involve treasure hunting.

is this exclusive to psp? because they really SHOULD release it for ps3..

Also..

Just out of sheer interest really, but did they use the same voice actors for this as they did in Advent Children?

No, it's strictly for PSP and I imagine it'll stay that way. They didn't release it for any other consoles to my knowledge.

As far as I'm aware, they are using the same voice actors in the English version as they did for Advent Children.

Yeah it is same voice actors ffrom Advent Children both for the Japanese Version and English Version

Except that most of the characters in CC weren't in AC (Zack kinda was but didn't say anything...).

The thing that really gets to me is that Cloud in CC looks and acts young, (his facial expressions etc.) but if I hear the AC clouds voice come out in the end scene I'll start a whirling dervish of fists and elbows.

No, you cannot rewatch the cutscenes like you were able to do in DOC. If you want to see the scenes again, you have to do another playthrough.
