Stalkers >=[
I have a stalker!!!
He's an old friend of mine from school, he just started talking to me again after something like five years. He seemed really nice at first, heck I thought he'd grown up a bit. But now he's texting me and trying to ring all the time, saying he's lonely and wants my "company" (yeah he's pretty much a sex pest :( )
Worst of all is that I'm trying to tell him to back off, but he's not getting the hint. Everytime I tell him to leave me alone, a few hours later I get another text telling me he thinks I'm amusing and wants to do "stuff" to me. Ugh, it's just freaking me out. The guy even says he wants to meet me in Leeds, I said no of course but he won't back down
Anyone else have an experience like this? And if so, how the hell did you deal with it? I've blocked him on MSN, keep switching my phone off, ignoring, all sorts, but none of it's working. I even threatened with the police, but no result. What would you guys do?

I'm fairly sure you can block his phone number. And, if you have the text messages or chatlogs of the MSN conversations, then you can go to the police and tell them you feel threatened and disturbed by this person.

Ugh, my exes always stalk me its bloody annoying, the worst being my second most recent ex, oh god, he'd harrass me for ages and if he ever got wind of me going out he'd always be there
It drove me mad, Id see him watching me it drove me mad. Even now, although it's not as bad as it used to be, if we are ever out and he gets drunk he just follows me around like a bloody love sick puppy and it really does my head in

Get a restraining order. Don't give him empty threats...it is important to let him know that you are serious, and do keep ignoring him. Just make sure you're always around people, just in case this guy try something stupid.
Anyway, yes I've been stalked before by a few. One was a very serious matter though when I was only 16 years old. It's quite a long story, but to make it short, I was stalked by a 40-something-year-old woman. She kept calling my house phone, telling my parents that she's from the law office (and she called around 9 p.m that time - like yeah, someone from the law office would call around that time. ), telling them lies (that I was in a car accident), and even went as far as threatening me on the phone, that something would happen to me if I did not stay away from my boyfriend (who's now my husband).
And I know she can indeed do harm to me if she chose to because she had connections. The few times that I talked to her, she was rude and mean, and then tried to sweet-talk me to meeting with her so we can have a private chat. (Like hell). But anyway, I told my husband about her threats and he had to get a restraining order from her for both me and him. His parents were involved, my parents were involved, the police were involved...it was just crazy. There was a lot more, but that's the gist of it.
I really couldn't do anything about the situation but just tell my parents and a few others and let them know what was up. I guess to me, the more that the others were aware of the situation, the safer I felt for some reason. It's good to know that there are people willing to keep a lookout for you.

My mum's been really supportive, she was gutted because she thought it would be nice to have another friend to chat to (like mothers do ¬_¬), but it's frustrating when it doesn't work out that way. I tried blocking his number but my phone doesn't have that facility, but I've kept his texts and if the police do get involved, hopefully they'll be able to see how he's being.
It's just so hard to cope with in the meantime, horrible feeling being harassed by someone. I've been having shake attacks and had to resort to chamomile tea to keep myself calm, I jump every time my phone goes off even if it's just my mum. But I hope it'll be over soon, I don't know if he got my last email telling him to back off, but I will do as you say and continue ignoring him if he still carries on after that. Thanks guys

Hi there. Why are you ignoring me??? I'm lonely!!! I only wanted to be your friend!!!
Seriously, make sure he gets the message, say something to scare him off. Creeps like that can be dangerous if you don't deal with them. If you fail to deter him without being drastic, change your phone number and get a restraining order.

Tell him you were widowed when you killed your husband in his sleep with nothing but your bare hands. After serving a sentence of 5 years in prison (got out early on good behavior), you obtained a low-paying job as a telemarketer. Tired of males in general, you became a lesbian and adopted half a dozen eskimo babies with your new life partner, Linda. Unable to marry legally, you and Linda decide one of you needed to undergo a sex change operation. After an intense match of rock-paper-scissors, it is decided that you will have the operation, making you a man. You change your name to Fernando, a name more fitting of a man. You aren't foreign, but you've always liked that name. After the operation, you and Linda are officially married in a small church at Las Vegas. Since then, you've been living happily with your lesbian life partner and six adopted children.
He might not believe it, but he may think you're unstable and run off. Everyone else already gave you good advice. Good luck, ma'am!

Hahahahaha that was awesome I should have done that!!!
Luckily my last email I sent him kinda gave him the message, he's left me alone all day today. I basically told him that his behaviour was freaking me out and if he didn't give over I would get the police involved. Now I'm just waiting for a few days to see what happens, and if he starts again then I'll have to get the restraining order. It's all really suckish, but if it'll stop the panic attacks and help me get back to normal then I'll get my head down and brave it ^^

I once had a stalker...and let me tell ya, the restraining order was useless. She lived over three hours away but she would still show up every day, trying to get into my house. But in the end I really can't give much advice. I'd just say really try to talk it out with this person. Because in the end my stalker ended up slitting her wrist, and although I know it wasn't my fault, she was just batsh*t crazy. I still feel somewhat guilty over it.

Just ignore him. Don't reply to any emails or calls or anything and he'll soon give up. It's probably because he's lonely and being a twat for shits n'giggles, it happens quite often.
Now if he starts turning up following you around and trying to get into your house n'shizzle, thats the time to involve Police.
