Procrastination

Once again it is Sunday night, and I have a mountain of homework to do which I was too lazy to do before. It's always a case of 'Oh I've got aaaaaaages to do it...', and I put off doing anything else because I have 'no time'. But then I just waste all of my time anyway doing pointless stuff.. and eventually it gets to this point where I have managed to put off doing anything productive.

I ALWAYS do it, and after each time I say that I'll stop but here I am again... I wish I had some sort of motivation to get things done. =/

Anybody else have the same problem, or got any tips to help? ><

I'd give advice, but I'm too busy procrastinating myself.

Just go and do it, the satisfaction of it all being done is rather nice.

Yeah that's true. But I always manage to find something to get in the way. Like now, for example, I'm about to go for a bath.

Grr it's the motivation I lack.

I used to be a REALLY bad procrastinator, especially Freshman year when it came to homework. Before that point, I was a 4.0 student and breezing through courses, not prepared for how hard high school was. After getting a 3.71 both semesters, I was really upset with how much I procrastinated, so my motivation was to get my pwnacious grades again.

I guess homework is only one example, but not procrastinating more helped me get myself back on track as far as school goes. My motivation was to get into a good college, but basically, my advice is to find something you're aiming for as a result of the stuff you have to do.

Procrastination sucks, though. The stuff you're procrastinating doing is always in the back of your mind, so it really is satisfying when you get it done.

So go git'r'done.

I really am a lazy oaf

Altho I find once Iv actually motivated myself to do something, I really throw myself into it but it's just mustering that motivation

Sometimes I lounge around all day in my pj's and don't do a single thing even tho I know I have things to do.

I always think, Oh Il get round to it and more often than not never do

Unfortunately, on some levels its affected my life, doing things to late has had a financial impact

And there is proof that I can always blame someone else when it is all down to my own laziness.

I just finished my homework... well, not really. I kinda just left my Calc questions blank because I didn't pay attention in class because I have Senioritis.

I've always had that problem. As a matter of fact, I've been on spring break and so I've had plenty of time to work on my tribute speech on Salvidor Dali (it's due this Thursday), but nope, haven't even started. Granted I still have 4 days left, but it's gonna suck having to do it on school days.

I've also been procrastinating on filling out job applications. I'm in desperate need of a job because my funds are running dangerously low...but I keep putting it off cuz I hate filling out apps.

Tips would be.....find motivation? Only that doesn't work, seeing as you and I lack motivation.

All I have to do is copy a sheet of paper up, but I've been putting that off all week =/

When I have the motivation I generally go for it, and focus solely on that task, but it's so hard to get motivated to do work. Especially since it's mainly done on the PC, and the internet is a click away...
