Life Is Too Short..
Don't know if this is the right section but it just keeps playing on my mind. I've got all these great FF games and believe you me, i'd love to sit there, read the guide, play the games in order til i've completed them all and learn the storylines and theories behind them, but at the same time there's a list of things i need to do in my life which is:
A) Learn guitar (really wanna learn to play FF tunes properly on guitar)
B) keep a good job with a steady income
C) have good, reliable friends and go out often
D) Run a nice car, not an old banger...
etc.
Life was so damn easy when i was younger and i could just play games from when i got home from school til late night, then all day everyday in the holidays (i wasn't a stranger to the outdoors though, i still got out), but it just seems that as you get older, you have much much less time for gaming and socialising and your life is all about working to get money, which goes on other things, mainly general bills & food, responsibilities grow. It just feels like life is too short and we spend all our time working and not enough play.
Anyone else feel the same way?
and no smart comments like 'welcome to reality'. I've known this 'reality' for a long time, i just feel like nows the time to speak up about it.

I know how you feel, man. It's not easy, but we just have to keep pushing foward. Besides, I'm sure deep down you feel better doing this then just sitting in front of your tv all day anyway. This way, people look as you as an equal who is struggling to be a honest human as much as them and the next guy, but if you were just a bum who sat on the couch all day taking money from your parents, then what kind of person would you be?
Look for the postives and enjoy the time you have. That's about all we can do.
Still, I do miss those times often and hope that sometime I find a few days to just kick like I did back then and stay up until 3 AM playing whatever roleplay I have to see the end of.

yeah, thats true. thanks man.
I hope i dont sound 'emo' or something, but it's just crazy how time flies it really is.
One minute i was building snowmen and playing games having a great laugh in the sunshine, playing Pokemon and other RPG's with hundreds of friends, now i find it hard to play games and even socialising is difficult.
I'll keep doing what i'm doing, something good might come of it.

Hah, that's already come and gone with me. I used to play Final Fantasy all the time, but now I don't even play video games anymore. I'm not quite sure if I've grown out of them, but I sure don't have the time for them. School and socializing and all that have taken over, which might be for the best... who knows?
I know that I don't plan on dropping so much money on a PS3 just to get FF13, though. All of that money has gone towards a New York City trip AND Spring Break. I just think that I can't afford video games anymore now that my dad has stopped paying for everything. x[

you're all right!
Reality.Fantasy, yep, i only bought a PS3 cos FFVII was supposed to be coming out, but after doing ALOT of research, i highly doubt FFVII will be remade before 2017 (2nd Anniversary of FFVII) and say most people were about 10 years old for their first FFVII, they'll be 30 by the time it comes out, it's pathetic. I really have spent many years of my life wanting a remake.
I still buy games and play them, but no where near as regularly.I just dont have the time.

I totally agree with you there. A whole lot of new responsibilities to look forward to. I can't play FF all day long, either. Got to buckle down and get on with adult life. But it's still possible to find time to play video games and generally have fun, even if you're so overwhelmed with a heavy workload.
