Vista isn't the problem, it was either a power outage, your laptop, or most likely, you motherboard. I'm guessing motherboard, since any computer, vista or not, can have it's motherboard fried in a power outage, which will erase everything. Were you using your laptop when it's power died?

It isn't possible for the operating system to do something like that, since all the stuff that dissapeared is saved to the memory on the hardrive.

Hmm. I've heard of Vista having import issues when attempting to place things from XP on Vista, but not heard of it... shutting off a computer. I'm guessing that's a computer fault, but I'm in the dark here... can't really say for sure.
I for one won't be getting Vista for a looooong time.

I was asking today some friend of mine and he told me that it can be possible that Vista was the problem for shutting down the System so as many other things.
He told me to wait for about 1-2 Years and then i can put in the Vista than it will be ok.

I'm very sorry to hear about your laptop problem.
There could be multiple causes for this.
It's going to depend on what's happening when you try to power on your laptop. Does anything at all happen...lights flash, hear it trying to start up? If it powers on, do you reach a screen that displays an error message?
If absolutely nothing happens when you power it on, the first thing I would do is test to see if the AC adapter is working especially if it was plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector when the power outage occurred. However to do this you would need a voltmeter or plug it into something else compatible with it, if possible. It could also be a power connector problem, motherboard failure, power supply problem, etc.
If you get power but it halts at an error message, it's important to record this in case you're going to have someone look at it.
Another possibility is hard drive corruption from Windows shutting down unexpectedly and improperly, but this would be more consistent with the laptop powering on but not booting to Windows. One thing to keep in mind is hard drive corruption does not automatically mean all data has been lost.
You may or may not have lost your data. It could be something to the affect of a part needing replacement. It's all really going to depend on what the root cause is. My advice would be to call the company you purchased the laptop from and explain what happened. I know you stated your laptop is new. Do you have a warranty? If so, it should include information on who to call should an issue arise. The best thing to do is not think you lost everything until you know for sure that's the case. My other advice is to back up your data routinely whether it be to an external hard drive, jump drive or CD/DVD.
