Heroes: Saving Charlie
As some of you know, I'm a really big Heroes fan. So I was just randomly in Waterstones yesterday picking out a book for my grandma's birthday when I found Heroes: Saving Charlie. I had wanted to get this book for a good long time now, so I bought it.
And god! I am so impressed with this book and would definitely recommend it to diehard Hiro (from Heroes) fans. It's basically taking off after the episode that Charlie was murdered by Sylar and Hiro teleports back to save her. This is the full summary.
Hiro Nakamura possesses the remarkable power to control time. And like his uniquely blessed comrades, he's on a mission for the good of humankind. But another challenge awaits him: saving the love of his life from an unspeakable death. Charlene "Charlie" Andrews is the big hearted, small-town beauty whose sunny smile and sweet soul have knocked the sky Hiro head over heels. But when Charlie's young life is snuffed out by a grisly serial killer, their budding romance is brutally cut short. Or is it?
In this original novel based on the TV phenomenon Heroes, Hiro steps centre stage on a deeply personal quest that will test the limits of his gift, the depth of his love, and the ultimate strength of his will. Thanks to hid astounding newfound skill, Hiro has the means to do what no tragedy-stricken lover in history ever could - turn back time. He vows to deliver Charlie from the evil poised to claim her. He will be her hero.
So far, I've read 37 chapters. It's witty, humorous and you can really get an insight into Hiro's thoughts. Has anyone read it then? So far, I'd rate it 9/10.

I love Heroes, so when I accidentally came across this book a few weeks ago, I just had to pick it up. The story itself is a joy to read. It is very charming and funny, and you really do get a further insight into both Hiro and Charlie. However, though saying that, I also felt that it wasn't deep enough, like the show, and ultimately didn't do enough. But yeah, still highly enjoyable and recommended to any Heroes fan.

It's been a while since I picked up the book. Ever since I got Twilight, I've been hooked on that. I still need to finish this book.
