21st December 2012 = Doomsday
I was watching this documentary on T.V last night called Decoding The Past, and it was on Doomsday Theories.
They put up many good argument points like some famous oracles from the past (don't remember any names) and their predictions were all true.
The book of Revelations has predicted some outcomes, even Jesus had some true predictions.
Their was also this program called Web-Bot or Spy-Bot, and that program predicted September 11.
The native Americans also predict doomsday.
All these predictions these 'future seers' say that Doomsday is on the 21st of December 2012. (except the bible, they didn't give any dates)
I personally don't believe this dribble. No mortal can predict the future, especially not a program.
What do you all think on this? (sorry for so little info, but if you need more, look it up yourself and report back)

Apparently the Mayans thought of it too, and the Aztecs also believed it. I think it's a load of rubbish myself, how on earth would people of primitive technology be able to predict the future, and the destruction of earth?
It's even less believable than the whole "Aliens built the pyramids" thing...

I know, it just politicians trying to scare the shit out of us, just so they can get us around their little finger.
The only possible reason I can think of doomsday is in about 5 billion years, when the Sun dies. Or if someone builds a big enough bomb that kills us all
(but just for laughs, Iv'e set an alarm on my phone)

...you really have a thing against politicians don't you?
Although, with the way Global Warmings developing, as well as all the nuclear weapons being created the world could very well be destroyed by 2012.
What annoys me is that none of these "prophecies" mention HOW the world is going to be "destroyed" like, do they mean its gonna be the rapture? or do they mean its going to be destroyed environmentally or something like that? If its the latter, it IS very probable

Most of them predicted Chariots that spewed fire, Tanks. They also said Warfare would do it.
I just think that human life would end. Not the Earth.
According the Native Americans this is the Fourth World, and the Earth is just going through cycle

and the native americans invented the whole "3rd world" story, most likely to create a system in which people would listen to the leaders and obey the churches. Thechances of human life ending but the world remaining is...slim, the only event that could cause such significant damage would be like, an astoroid crash, but that would probably kill the planet than humanity....

Native American's also came up with the Vagina Dentata myth, so they're not exactly the most reliable source.
Anyway, I'm positive humans will wipe themselves out either through war or screwing up the eco system so much our bodies won't be able to adapt, but no way it's happening in 2012....I'd say in 50 to 100 years.

I think it's all rubbish. I've seen shows like this before, one about saying how a great earthquake was going to hit California in like 2005 or something like that, and how the US would be split in half and some rubbish, and in the same program how it was predicted that this one storm would whip out everything along the west coast in the US and East Coast in Asia, and I guess it was supposed to happen 6 years before the show was made.
