Why Mobile!!!

this game would be so much better if it was for PSP or PS3 or something... I wanna play as the turks on psp XD ... whatta you guys think

Because people like playing games on their cell phones thus why they make games for cell phones. Square released this exclusively on mobile phones anyways.

There isn't even a release date for this game for North America anyways. In fact this game was suppose to be out in 2006. It seems to me at this point this game might be Japan exclusive.

As its been mentioned people like playing games on their mobiles. Instead of leaving the game at home with its console, with it being on their phones, they can play it anywhere. And people will be able to play it more on boring travels.

ya but dont you think that they would make more money if they sold it for a system? i mean i go buy it for sure if they made it for PSP or something. This looks like such a good game... i suppose ill go out and buy a cell phone... when it comes out (if it does).

As Ive tired to reply for almost 40 odd minutes due to this damn server, I said that because its being released on a phone, that they may make more money cause they are selling a phone also.

The money for the phone wouldn't go to SE at all since the sale of that has nothing to do with their company. However, they do charge a monthly fee for playing BC. Which is why I'm never getting it.

It would cost Square too much time and money to re-release a game on the PSP/DS/whatever. Before Crisis wasn't meant to be a major game. All it is a small prequel to Crisis Core and FFVII.

They need to re work BC for the DS and release it here in America. A cellphone game put on a traditional handheld like the PSP would only be using a couple buttons and would end up being quite boring. If the stylus was incorporated into the gameplay it could be quite interesting though.

It kind of makes sense for what Square wanted to do with the game. They didn't want it to be a huge undertaking, like Crisis Core or the like. Japanese gamers would eat something like this up, they're more "cell phone savvy" when it comes to those types of things. That's who I believe is their intended audience.
