you have some great talent. have you ever had any of your work put into a museum for student art when you were in school or submited any of your art into competitions? you could be one of those people who with the right inspiration can go places.

These are exceptional my friend, I love the watercolor look, honestly, this kind of work reminds me alot of Yoshitaka Amano's works. Great stuff man, keep it up.

As far as contrasting goes...remember;
white contrasts black
red contrasts green
blue contrasts orange
yellow contrasts purple
That should help ya.

I really love the colors you get with the watercolor. The way you layer them and the mixture of colors you achieve is gorgeous. You're really good with colors, shading, and details.
I think you shouldn't copy Amano as much. You should try to develop your own style instead of copying his.

The thing I admire about Amano is his ability to make pictures flow. It's hard to criticize his artwork, but no matter what, I always nitpick his drawings. There are things that I like and dislike, aside from his brush strokes (which are amazing).
I like the way he works with colors; he can mix and match and not make anything look overcrowded, and he can make a simple portrait into a masterpiece by adding a colorful inventory. I also love his character poses.
I don't really like the way he does faces. It's too...ancient japanese art style. He emphasizes the faces to ensure that they look oriental.
I don't think I've found my own style yet. I only have two influences in art. Amano and Tomomi Kobayashi. You're right, I do copy their style too much. Maybe I should let things flow out of my own brain. =]

Hope you can repair the paint, though  I hate it when I get paint everywhere...though I hate it more when my cat stepped in the pink acrylic, waved her paw around to get it off (splashing onto the artwork), and then running off while trampling on the artwork and my bedsheets on her way out of my room.
