I was playing around with this 3D program on my computer and made a model of that mathematician from my flash movie.

I recently installed Bryce 5 on my computer, so I'm playing around with it.
One of the first few things I made was my idea of a mug which shows that Euclid's fifth postulate is incorrect.
However, a straight line on a cylinder is actually a spiral, and wouldn't actually prove much. However, if you take the projection of a sine or cosine curve on a cylinder onto an elliptical prism, then it is a straight line, and it would actually work. In other words, the intersection of a plane cutting through a cylinder not perpendicular to it forms an ellipse; the plane, if you look at it from a certain angle, would be a straight line.
Okay, the pictures.

Alright, something less mathematical. A digital sumi-e of a subject more suited for this style.

I don't know why I drew this--I was bored. I know I don't seem to have time to draw much these days, so if I drew anything, it's probably so that I don't forget how to do so entirely.

Another 3D model, except bigger. It's a hyperbolic projector, similar in concept to the spherical blackboard, except instead of a giant blackboard, it's a giant projector, and instead of drawing lines on the outside, you draw them on the inside of the sphere (apparently, I made this model so that you can also draw lines on the outside of it as well.)
This is what it looks like outside.

And inside.

This is the sphereboard on the inside; it's not quite a blackboard, but it's generally a smaller version of the projector itself; you can use it to change some settings or draw on the outside of the large projector.

This is a panel of the inside of the smaller projector.

And this is a laser pointer you use to draw the lines on the giant projector. Just point where you want to draw.

Some images of the screen itself. The last one is a close-up.

This is the lift that goes back outside. There isn't really a problem if the lift isn't on the side of the entrance; you can simply just slide down the bottom of the sphere and reach the platform with the ladder.
