I know fuck all about Gackt apart from that he is a solo singer who has contributed a couple of songs to DoC and is the model for Genesis aswell as being the singer for the weirdo band Malice Mizer for a time. Doubt he has anything on good 'ol Jacko though.

Well.... I can see why someone would call him the Michael Jackson of Japan because Gackt went through a lot of surgery to achieve the perfect look. (Well his perpestive.) He looks very different now than what he use to look like. He changes his looks dramatically rather often.
I wouldn't really say he's the Michael Jackson of Japan....
First off... He isn't THAT popular, he is, but not as legendary compared to Jackson.
Second... He doesn't have a history of molesting children. =P
Third - Gackt is much better looking than Michael Jackson.

Touchy? No. Try looking up some info on him yourself before you make such a ridiculous comparison thread. Your other comparison threads like ZOMG WULD FF WIMMINZ BEAT PAN?! were lulz-worthy (and pretty sad too), but this is just dumb.
He's not a psycho, I don't know where you heard that bit. Now he DOES claim to be a 500-year old vampire, but I sincerely doubt he really believes that. He hasn't had caps put on his canine teeth, and the subject matter in his songs isn't vampiric, and he's in the light all the time. If he believed he was a vampire, don'tcha think he'd try to avoid that? He's great at keeping his personal history hidden and such, the vampire thing is most likely something he adopted for his persona.

I think it'd be natural that anyone would be irritated, considering the fact Gackt and MJ are worlds apart, and because you always post less than three lines of valid information whilst comparing two objects that some people don't even know anything about.
I really don't see any area that you could compare Gackt to MJ in, besides who's had more plastic surgery.
