I actually like Gackt. His biography is amusing, his music is only sub-par, and his style is odd. Regardless, I don't think I've ever heard of him creating his own theme park, taking advantage of children, and starting very odd dance crazes.

He reminds me of a horny kid with no way to satisfy himself but to be odd and nonconforming.

Ya know, supposedly Gackt speaks 3 other languages besides Japanese...plus he can play most any instrument. I don't think MJ can claim that.

I heard about Gackt after playing Dirge of Cerberus. He actually did the two songs in DoC, and yeah, Genesis is modeled after him and I think he's also his voice actor in the Japanese version of DoC and Crisis Core.

I don't agree with the comparing him to Michael Jackson, and all reasons have been stated above by others.

I know he's popular for the guy-on-guy fan service element though.

Probably the most famous example would be his live performance of the song "Vanilla" where he did all sorts of things with the band members on stage.

And on top of that, he supposedly said in a interview that he doesn't care about gender when it comes to love, and he supposedly has a special relationship with another J-Rocker named "Hyde" and fans of course take it to the next level.

1) This is a photo-shopped image, where Gackt is originally kissing a girl, but add Hyde's wing tattoos, and who can tell the difference?

But anyways, Gackt has a great voice (even if I don't understand what he's singing) and very nice for the eyes

I actually own Moon Child, got it for only $10. Hyde's actually a pretty good actor, Gackt isn't too bad in it either, but he's quite the dork.

Boohoo. He makes threads with ridiculous comparisons and doesn't give any supporting background. He confused people with his Yugioh thread who didn't know shit about the series and confused Darkstar cuz he didn't know who Gackt was.

No. By valid information I meant information that's actually helpful so that people can understand your comparisons. Although wrong information does apply to this thread.

It's MUCH more likely that he only claims to be a vampire to add some mystique to his persona and get more people interested. But if you want to think it's a conspiracy or that he's out of his mind and really does believe he's a vamp, go ahead. I don't think anyone else agrees with your opinions though.
