Ergo Proxy
Another Sci-Fi anime. This ones plot seems to end a lot like Evangelion. Not in the sense of the actual ending being close to the same, but in the idea that our brain gets raped by a conversation that seems to make no sense. Still the ending doesn't leave you disappointed if you watch till the last minute and the story in general is interesting.
There are a lot of referances to different things within the movie and you may need to look some of them up to get a better understanding/feel for the movie. The characters also seem to use fairly large words at times, so for those with a weak vocabulary, you may want a dictionary by your side (this was for the dubbed version I watched at least).
The story does move slow at times sadly, but if you bear through it you may just like it. I know I did.
Anyone else seen this anime? What do you think of it?
And if my description made you watch it, come back and tell me and everyone else what you think!

This is one of my favorite anime, the story and the characters, the whole feel that it brings is amazing.
I don't think that the ending is similar to Evangelion in any way, can't see what made you think that.

You didn't find the conversation ProxyOne had with himself at all mind raping...
I did.
I had to watch it like three times to understand wth they were talking about at all times.
Keep in mind I was watching a subbed version, so it is possible that they just translated it and didn't work on trying to make it make sense. So that may be why it was so bad for me...

Watched a sub version myself. I think there were one or two places where I rewind it back to read it another again, but that's what I love about it, makes you think a bit, confuses you a bit

Oh it's good to see that I wasn't the only person that had to go back and rewatch some parts to get the gist of what they had just said. Perhaps we all watched the same subbed version, yes?
I absolutely loved this anime. So much so, that I still have the subbed version on my computer while I'm in the process of buying the DVDs. It was not only beautiful, in a dark way, but it had a significant amount of depth that I found very likeable.
They did good naming Daedalus, as it references the mythological greece inventor. His name even means, if I remember right, cunning worker or something in latin/greek. I love finding mythological references in anime. It brings me a strange pleasure. lol.

Well...I just started watching the anime, and I may say it's really good! I like those must-watch-twice animes so-I-can-understand...Those twisted stories...I also like the drawing style...It's realistic, not like the other animes...I've got the feeling that this'll be one of the greatest things I've watched...~After Elfen Lied~
