L is by far my most favourite character out of DN, closely followed by Light! The first 24 or so episodes were just awesome! But after L died the plot kind of got slow....The battle between L and Kira was the most intriguing ever! Misa and Matsuda = love! Just who wouldn't love those comic-relief-like characters?

Yeah, I agree. Death note didn't really seem all that interesting after L's death, plus, it was a cheap death. I'd actually like it better if Light killed L himself >.o
My favorite is by far, L. =) The way he eats, talks, and sits is just so awesome~! The fact that he's super smart made being weird cool =D

*well it was such a waste for L to die in the middle of the battle and right when he almost had proof to pin Kira down but you gotta admit it was an interesting part of the series to have the most interesting and at the same time weird guy to die, the producers must have thought this would be have a good reaction from the viewers eh and sure enough a lot of you guys were disappointed, but for me it was a good call, just to have a new thing for an anime, ya know like not having the good guys always win

i really love l and light and ryuk and.. ah too many of them but the thing is i really love this anime! they really have the best characters made.!

It's definately L for me, he's just so amazing just everything about him seems great, he's one of my favorite anime charaters of all time.

L and Near are my favourites. Light would have been, but he kinda lost it in the end and sorta became a psychopath hell-bent on killing everyone. L is just so calm and instantly likeable (remember the first time you see L in the manga?). The same goes for Near, but Near seem so mature and cool for his age.

*Man i just cant stand that twist of makin Kira go berserk like that. i mean isnt he a genius? isnt he the one who thought of making a better place for the world with the death note? then whyd he end up such a bad guy in the end? i just dont get it, hes so smart then whyd he have to loose himself like that? well in any cae hes still my fav character, Evil is cool ya know hehe
