Ive always spelt it Aeris. It really doesnt matter which you chose to use.
You cant really sort it out, its up to the individual.

Because Aeris was a mis-translation of Aerith and there trying to correct it? everywhere else her name is Aerith, in AC, KH, KH2, KH COM and CC.

So Aerith is the correct way to spell her name

I think that Aerith is a soft name

it has a soft ending. Yooo seee every time I hear that name I start thinking about a fluffy bunny...

There both pronounced the same anyway, like Air-ris, so it doesn't really matter anyway

It naturally confuzzles people.

To uninformed people:
Aerith -- Air--ith
Aeris -- Air--iss/ or worse yet. -- Er-is.

But truly in my opinion, it's Aerith, because that's the Japanese version and FF is Japanese.

But like AG said, it really doesn't matter.
They're pronounced the same way.

Of course if you look at it from a visual perspective...I'd see where you're coming from.

yes!!! dats kinda the whole reason i watch advent children!!! coz i wonted to see wat her namewas and if i say saying it right ^^ i learnt how to pronouce names dat i got wrong

Well since they didn't actually say her name in AC you'll have to wait till CC to learn how to say her name properly

but it's Aerith again in CC
