Reno and Rude
after watching the movie for the 7th time... something i noticed... after Cloud was fighting Yazoo and Loz on the bikes in the tunnel, and Loz' bike blows up after Cloud cut it in half, Reno and Rude are both holding some dynamite(or whatever it is) and then they have this conversation about the flashy stuff, then Reno says they're clockin' out early... then Cloud drives by and the whole crap explodes... now we don't see Reno and Rude anymore after this... so i figured... did they die in the explosion? the quote "seems we're clockin' out early" can refer to their "ending", or their life's ending...
what are your thoughts?

Reno and Rude are too in fact shown after the explosion. When Aerith casts her healing waters over the planet, Reno, Rude, Tseng and Elena are all four shown around Rufus as he's being healed of the geostigma. So in answer to your question yes, all four turks are still alive.

Yea, I never thought they died but I can remember asking Busta what was going on. It didn't make a lot of sense to me either. Also, I'm pretty sure they landed in a chopper... which was in the middle of the highway. So I'm not sure how Cloud just drove past that... and then they managed to just walk away from the explosion. I'll rewatch it and edit this post in a minute...
Edit: He drives under the tail of the helicopter. As for how Reno and Rude get out, no clue. They just show Reno smile and Loz & Dinkleberry get scared when the bomb goes off.

And we do see a helicopter after the explosion. So I'm thinking they set the bomb in the middle of the road, jumped on their helicopter and triggered the bomb when two bad guys arrived just in time for the bait.

I think Mitsuki's post makes the most sense here and she is infact right. They were meaning that their work was done for the day, they got it done early, so they were leaving now to go and do whatever it is they wanted. They also made sure Cloud was safely past them before setting off the "flashy" bomb as Rude calls it. I think that's exactly what happened though. It makes the most sense as to how they are still alive.
