Did Aeris Revive Cloud or Just send him back?

Reasearching AC recently this seems to be an important topic - Did Aeris Revive Cloud (As in from Death) or just send him back to earth?

Personally i like to believe that she revived him - she knew it wasnt Cloud time to go and revived him so he could stay on earth, as opposed to letting him die and staying with her.

So which do you think? was cloud dead in the lifestream or just really hurt? either way Aeris is important - hence why i made this thread XD

hmmm i would think that he was just really hurt, but then again with all that white around him one could argue that he was actually sent to the lifestream, so it could go either way

I'm not realy shure about it i like to believe that she was sending him back for the reasend because there were still kids sick so i whant to believe she was sending him back to help them.
On the other way it seems that Tifa and he had somehting in comming so mayby she sendet him back to start a new life.
Well at the end i think we would know if there where a next movie about it.Dont you think?

i dont think we will ever know the answer to the LT - even in dirge of cerberus - its a year after AC and Tifa still isnt Mrs Cloud Strife

besides i dont want them to make a new movie - FF7 has already been whored out enough.

It's kinda like all those cartoon where the character has a near death experience and sees the "white light" and the "pealy gates" of heaven or something but it's not their time and they get sent back. I think, it's a bit like that. Cloud went to be where you go when you die in the FFVII world but then Aeris told him it wasn't his time... Well that's my opinion anyway.

I'm pretty sure that she revived him. He got shot pretty much through the lung, which does a little more than hurt. I'm going with your "not his time to die" theory on it too

I think Cloud just used an expired Hi-potion to heal his wound, which had an hallucigenic affect.

Hmm, I did wonder about that as well. I'm really not sure about the answer. I guess it's one of those things that we have to interpret ourselves...again, lol. Personally, I think Aerith did revive him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a big explosion after those two villains shot him? I don't exactly know what caused the explosion, but for awhile I thought Cloud must be in the middle of that explosion. But then again, no...his body would've been completely blown to pieces. So hmm, maybe he was just severely hurt? In one of those near death experience? Or drifting off like usual? I really don't know.

Ahh, but then again, Zack said something to him during that white background scene. He told Cloud he "doesn't belong here." So maybe he did die, afterall? Who knows?

The explosion was a result of so much magic being used by Yazoo & Loz. But of course, survivng an explosion isn't uncommon in FFVII, as AC showed us

Oh, hell yeah, she revived him, definitly. I mean come on, he easily got a bullet through the lung, and was exploded to-boot. He was dead. She 'sent him back' because it would totally suck if the main char did all that, then died! I mean, just when life was lookin good, he dies?! What the shizz?!!! That's not right!!!

And so she revived him. The cool thing is (IMO) is that Aerith is dead and she's brining dead people back to life!!!! How B.A. is that? She's like a 100th level cleric, so she can pull it off to. Awesome!!!!
