However, where in the story would a chocobo appear? When you think about it, placing a chocobo in the film anywhere might just have seemed stupid. Ad SE do have a perfectly valid reason for not putting them in (the same as the large absense of Nanaki in the film)
That they wanted the movie to phail?

It's a shame that there wern't any in the movie... Chocobos are like a trade mark in final fantasy, there should have been some, even one single chocobo in a scene.

Is does seem strange to include the Chocobo in every game but not in the movie.

I know, I was somewhat sad that chocobos didn't make an appearance, I mean, even a slight glance of them might have been fine once, or at least a slight cameo of one would have been cool as well.
Chocobos were a staple of the series, but I guess if the animators were having a hard time just animating Tifa's hair, then I wonder how much strain that would've put on them animating all the feathers and whatnot.

i would of loved to see chocobos in the movie, to see how realistical they could make them and to hear a little cheep of one would have made the film more worthwhile to see! i also feel that there was a lack of variety in monsters in midgar as the only monsters cloud fights are the shadow creepers in the motorcycle scene and Bahamut (which i may say looked amazing!). The film could have been made longer and in my opinion better if there were more fight scenes involving summons Vs summons or even the characters fighting more summons. The fight scene involving Reno n Rude Vs Kadaj n loz, i felt it was very comedic watching Reno trying to fight with a metal baton.
