I thought it was a pretty poor film myself. It was a nice idea, and it's interesting to watch it if you've played the game, but I think they have a bloody cheek charging £15 (original RRP) for it. The story was weak, and has confused countless people who haven't bothered to read into any problems. It was just a way for SE to showoff their CGI abilities and to generate some money

I loved this movie!! Call me a fan boy or whatever but how freakin cool is seeing your favorite FF characters come to life? Plus after the first FF movie that had nothing at all to do with the FF series this was totally up my alley. I even got it before it hit the U.S. with subtitles. I've probably watched it bout a dozen times. Its like super eye candy. Good stuff

If you played FF7 then the film was excellent, but if you didnt really get FF7 then it's quite possibly pointless to whach FF7:AC. It was clear as day that the film was intended for us FF7 fanboys only.
I thought the film was well worth the standard SE 1000 year wait (as it is with every FF game).

It wasn't so much exciting, as a film of such relation to a popular game series should be. The storyline is essentially pointless, and seems to be solely elaborating on Sephiroth's ultimate power over their world.
Weak story, a lesser script, horrid voice actors, yet brilliant fight scenes. Loved it.
